M-MSS eases the migration from existing voice networks to IP-based multimedia networks. This is achieved by converging all network standards into a single distributed and highly available carrier-class platform. Within a carrier or service provider’s network, various technologies and network access standards can co-exist, allowing for the bundling of services and the ultimate goal of an all NGN IP network.

M-MSS can support multiple applications in a traditional tandem switched network along with multimedia services in an NGN IP network. This flexibility allows service providers to solve existing network requirements in a cost effective manner while offering them the opportunity to capture additional revenue streams through new services and the bundling of multiple services.
